4.-Mesenchymal stem cells.

Regenerative medicine offers new methods and treatment options in different diseases and states through mesenchymal stem cells. Stem cells can originate from adipose tissue or body fat, placenta villi and endometrial tissue etc. they are non-specialized cells that differentiate (transform) into other cells in the body, of which tissues and organs are composed. The mesenchymal stem cells that we are using have a huge potential for differentiation and proliferation and are not rejected by the recipient patient’s organism (just like the universal blood donor their blood is not rejected by the recipient patient, do not forget that the transfusion is the oldest cell transplant we know)

Mesenchymal cells are precursors of specialized cells (for example, skin cells, liver, mucous membranes, heart, bone, lung, kidney, neuron, etc.), of which the tissues of the body are composed. Since the specialized cells only live for a certain time, it is necessary to constantly maintain their number in the organism. For this there are mesenchymal cells capable of dividing asymmetrically: during this division, the cell similar to the maternal one is formed, which ensures the reproduction of the author, and the new cell will be able to differentiate (transform) into a specialized cell.

Mesenchymal cells are distinguished by their differentiation potential: the ability to become different types of specialized cells. The fertilized egg is the greatest potential – the zygote, which gives rise to all the cells of the organism. In the course of the subsequent development process, the stem cells become more specialized and their potential for differentiation is diminished.

Our Clinic applies mesenchymal stem cells. The differentiation potential of these cells is still very high. These cells give rise to a large number of specialized cell types. In addition, the cells that we are applying have the highest proliferative potential (ability to divide) compared to other types of mesenchymal cells.

The application of mesenchymal cells will make it possible to avoid rejection by the recipient organism (histocompatibility problem), since the expression of histocompatibility antigens does not exist or is minimal in these cells. At the same time, bone marrow or umbilical cord blood cells contain histocompatibility antigens, which requires complicated procedures of donor and recipient selection or the application of immunosuppression methods.

The treatment in the Clinic is a complex therapy that includes the transplantation of the autologous mesenchymal cells in conjugation with other therapies that favor regeneration. These methods belong to achievements in the field of modern medicine.
